How to customize the New Request name from the default running number
How to customize the new Request Name while creating new request instead of the a group of number then follows by the name of the request? Like this - 159310200: Request Form. We wish not to see the running numbers but only our title of the Request or customized Request Name for every new Request. It is quite troublesome and time consuming if we have to change the title for all the requests after it created. Or is there any other way for the title to capture something that we wrote in the Request? Thanks.
Hi Miya, welcome to the forums :) Those numbers in the url are automatically assigned and used to make sure that each Request form url is unique. Because of that, you can't edit the ID out of the url. I'm not sure if you're mapping form responses to task title's right now, but if you're not, that could be a good thing to try.
To map a response to a title:
That way, any response added in that field is used for the task's title.
Let me know if that helps!
I'm resurrecting an old thread here, but I have a related issue.
I want to retain the task ID in the title but have a mapped form field APPENDED to it, rather than replace it.
Currently, if I map a form field to Title, I just get the contents of the form field as the title of the task. If I don't map any field to Title, the title set to <ID NUMBER>: NAME OF REQUEST FORM. My form is called 'Publication request', so all task names created by the form appear as something like '225198861: Publication request'
What I want is the option to map a field to title but have the ID number retained, i.e. I want the title of the task to be <ID NUMBER>: <Contents of mapped form field>. That way, if I map the project name to the title, I'll get meaningful (to me) task names like '225198861: Export workshop toolkit' and '21238861: CeBIT Marketing Brochure', rather than all tasks looking the same.
Hello, I am also very interested in what Rob posted above. How does this kind of request get updated/how can we get a response from Wrike? I'm assuming Rob didn't get a reply or if he did can that information be shared?
Hi Wrike team,
any comments on Rob's query above? I'm also interested. Can it be done? If not, do you have any suggestions for a workaround?
This is especially important if you're taking in trouble tickets, or something along those lines, where a unique identifier is the simplest way to sort or search
I would also like to keep the number... as well as decide the order it appears.
Hi Wrike Team,
Do you have an update on this topic? We would alos very much like to have this functionality enabled as soon as possible. (To append the task ID in the title).
/Thomas
