FAQ: Email Comments to a Project
Every Project and Folder has a unique email address that you can use to send comments to that Folder/Project. To find the unique email address:
- Open the Project or Folder info panel.
- Click on the Permalink icon.
- The email under “E-mail for sending updates to this project” is the address that you can use to add comments via email.
Just add this email address in your email’s “To:” field and send the email. Text from the email’s body appears in Wrike as a comment to the Project.

Hi Anna,
In our group, people are often including the email link in the CC of their project communications emails, but sometimes replies that have the Wrike email in them aren't added to the project change log.
Could this be caused by the the replier not having a Wrike account?
Hi @Joris, thanks for reaching out!
You're right, a user should have a Wrike account and an email address associated with it. Here's more info on our Email Integration.
Please let me know if you have any further questions 👍

Is it possible to tag users in the e-mail that is being sent so that they get a notification of this update in their inbox?
Hi @Julie, welcome to the Community, happy to see you here 🙂
Sorry for the long reply, I needed to test it and also discuss with the team. You can't tag users in the email here.
I'll be happy to discuss further, please feel free to reach out!

Hi Lisa, does the project or folder always default share with the user emailed when using the option "E-mail for sending updates to this project?"
We'd like to log communication with collaborators at the top-level project, but necessarily share it with them. Is this possible?
Hi Ian Kizer, I've asked my colleague from the Support team to reach out to you about your question to clarify some information 👍

When using this feature, do the people copied on the email become project owners or have the project automatically shared with them?

Prior to lightspeed, projects had more options under the permalink icon. We use the "E-mail for sending updates to this project" extensively. I noticed it isn't there anymore with lightspeed. It does get created when sending an email from Wrike. Is the link available from anywhere inside the project in Wrike?
Hi Jim Wiles, welcome to the forums 🙌
It should be possible now, try clicking the three-dots menu and you'll see the "Update by email" option:
Let me know if that works for you 🙂
