Updated Navigation Panel
With the year coming to a close, we’re all tying up our loose ends, cleaning up our task lists, and making sure our to-do list is is tidy and clean. Wrike has also done some cleaning up to give you more breathing space for working on your tasks and projects. Enable the updated Navigation Panel from Wrike Labs to give it a go.
With the updated Navigation panel:
- The Navigation panel is exclusively a Folder tree. Global View (Dashboards, Inbox, etc.) now run along the top of the Workspace.
- Hide the Navigation panel (Folder tree) to get more space for working on lengthy tasks and navigating between different views (no more scrolling and resizing). Make sure to check out how many tasks fit on the Timeline now!
- Expand the Folder tree to create and organize your Folders and Projects. Starred Folders, at the top of the list, are now even easier to access.
- Quickly switch between Global Views (such as Inbox, My Work, Dashboards, Reports) from the top of the Workspace. If you’re a fan of creating multiple Dashboard widgets, you now have space to fit in some more ;)
When we try to view filters, the filter options aren't coming up for us on the right hand side when we have this new layout enabled. We had to switch back :-(
Hi Tim! Thanks for letting us know about this, it looks like a temporary issue affecting some users could have caused that. An update was rolled out today, so the Filters panel should show up correctly now after you refresh the Workspace. Please let me know how this goes!
Looking good @Anastasia.
One other thing the team has commented on is that the "Search Projects" in the left gets confusing as staff think that they can search tasks there. They then remember to look around and see the Search Tasks on top right. This is only a problem in the Projects view, but a problem nonetheless ;-)
Tim, thank you for sharing! I've sent this over to our Product Team. Happy to hear any other feedback from your team (and others) about this update!
