Moving Tasks from One Parent Folder to Another

I have two "parent" folders - Active Jobs and Completed. Within Active Jobs, I have all of our brand folders. All tasks are in the Active Jobs folder and their specific brand folder. I'd like to be able to move tasks, once completed or cancelled, from the Active Jobs folder to the 2022 folder in Completed WITHOUT removing it from the brand folder. Is that possible?

Hi Alex Cummings

I would implement an automation if you have that possibility within your account. If you don't have admin access, ask someone in your organization who does to see if they can set this up.

You can apply an automation to tasks within your Active Jobs folder so that when status changes to "any completed" or "any cancelled", the item is added to your 2022 folder in "Completed". The main thing you would need to do is update this yearly to go to the current year folder. Or you can add a condition and create a new rule each year for projects completed that year.

can you create an automation rule? If project status changes to complete > add project to folder

Hi all - I have an automation set currently. However - it removes the task from ALL the folders it's in when it moves it to the Completed/2022 folder. I want it to only move from the Active Jobs parent folder, and not the brand folders that are within the Active Jobs folder.
