Deleting Projects Without Notifications to Task Assignees
It would be great if there was an option not to notify task assignees and project owners when a task is sent to the recycle bin. Periodically, we move completed projects and tasks there that are 180 days old. We currently use archive folders for completed projects but they still show up in searches and we want the ability to search for items faster without having to look through long lists of similar topics. Deleting triggers MANY messages in user inboxes that are unnecessary. Having the option not to notify them would be very helpful in this regard.
Thank you for submitting this feedback Wade & Lyra-Transition, I'll pass it to the team now 👍

Hey, is there an update on this suggestion? I'm looking to find a solution too.
Rushi,
The only workaround I have found is to open the project and from the list view select all the tasks and select unassign from all. Also unassign from the project owners as well. If for some reason you had to restore a project, the history of who it was assigned to is still there.
Thanks a lot for sharing your workaround Wade & Lyra-Transition 🙌
We don't have an update here at the moment, but I've shared your feedback with the responsible team 👍

Another vote for this! Right now I also use the list or table view to select all and mass unassign, however, that option is not available on the project lever as far as I know.
Yesterday I deleted 400+ projects and the author on those projects received just as many notifications in their inbox. My team loathes me when it comes time to delete projects to open up storage space.
Thanks Caitlin. It would be great if Wrike could give people with admin rights in the account to delete without notifications. I certainly understand whey I should be notified if I assign a task and the assignee deletes it. However, there are certain exceptions such as your case and just yesterday I had a similar situation regarding over 300 tasks. I am not deleting those hoping for a solution from Wrike Engineering. I may be drawn and quartered if I delete those and the task creator gets 300 notifications.
Thanks for your detailed feedback, folks! We'll share the new comments here with the team as well.
