Project progress % based on effort instead of duration

Hello,

Our organization uses the Business plan with the Wrike Resource Add-on.
We have issues with the project progress calculation that does not reflect accurately the work done.

We have about 500 to 1000 tasks in a project and in our customized Workflow, we have several validation tasks with an effort set from 1 to 3 hours.

A project progress percentage would be much more accurate if it was based on effort rather than durations.

This is an example of what I would need to be added:
Project progress

Measure as

  • Completed tasks
  • Duration of completed tasks
  • Effort of completed tasks
  • Task and duration average
  • Tasks and effort average
  • Don't meausure progress

Interesting idea.  I don't put much stock into the progress bar though... it treats all tasks as equally weighted and some tasks just aren't relevant to determining the "completeness" of a project.  I think it would also be a GOOD feature to include a checkbox in any task that if tracking is enabled... you can designate to include a task in the % calculation or not (i.e. a task becomes "key" to measuring the progress of the project).
