Request form Project start date the day of request form submission
I want a request form to make a new project. I make a duplicate project from blueprint.
Then I want to start the project with the date the request form is submitted.
Unforunately I could not see a possibility to do so. The possibility to Reschedule seems only to work with an input field for the request submitter. This is not what I want, as the project includes the evaluation of the submission and shall start at the day of submission.

Hey Sven Passinger, thank you for reaching out!
You're right, the only way to achieve this is to have an input field for the requester to enter the date of the submission and use that date as the project start date.
I can move your post to the Product Feedback forum now - other Community members will be able to upvote it and we'll be passing your feedback to the Product team. Here's how the forum works. Please let me know what you think!

This would be a great addition! We have a number of processes that have set time frames (2-days, 3-weeks, etc.) from the day of submission, and the majority of them require the user to fill a "Today's Date" field. If the start date could be automatically set to the date of submission, this would require at least one less step in a lot of our forms.

This, to me, seems like an obvious automation/feature that should not require the endorsement of the community.
Hi Matt Kreider, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
I do understand the importance of the functionality for your team, I've passed on your feedback to our Product team and I'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates.
Hello @..., any update on this feature? Thank you!
Hi Amine CHEGRAOUI, welcome to the Community and thank you for checking in here. We don't have any updates in relation to this request for now, if anything changes we'll be sure to let you know👍🏼
Being able to ask start date and due date in the request form seems like a pretty simple function and should be added.
That's what I said! Lol.
Thank you folks, please rest assured that your feedback is shared with our Product team 👍

Any update on this enhancement request?
Hi Adele Yuen, thank you for chiming in. We don't have updates about this request at the moment, however, please rest assured that we will keep you informed if any changes are implemented 👍
Please, let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
Would also like this...we reduce the number of fields as much as we can in our request forms but asking for the date just to have the start date populate seems unnecessary when we know the date the form was filled.
I spent so long trying to figure out how to do this very basic, basic thing. I'm glad I was able to find this conversation on the Community, because I would have kept looking, kicking myself for my supposed stupidity!
Why on earth would anybody NOT expect a task created from a Request Form to start the day the form is submitted as the default? In fact, this is how Blueprints normally work. When I create a task from a Blueprint, it reschedules the dates of the task.
+1 for this feature as it feels incredibly clunky to ask a customer for "today's date," on a web request form, especially when "created date" is a field already available within Wrike.

I see this issue has been around since 2020, when will this finally be fixed? Is there a workaround for this?
