Project Archive Downloads
It would be helpful if an entire project could be downloaded into a file for archiving. Currently the only method is a full back-up without comments and attachments. There needs to be a function to pull it as a singular package, including comments and attachments
Hi Suzanne, thanks for the post. It would be great to hear what kind of file you're thinking and for what use would you use this file? Thank you 👍
For archiving, we would like to store all documentation and assets from a project in a single package which includes assets not created or stored in Wrike due to practicality. However, we would like to see everything created within Wrike, including comments and additional assets.
Is there any update on this request?
I would also be very interested in this. Could you please provide a response?
Thanks
Likewise, I'm also keen to see this feature as Suzanne mentioned in her July 2018 post.
Hi everyone, thanks for your input here. Currently there is no update from the Product team; I'll get back to you here if/when I have news. Thanks!

I agree with everyone else. I used a different project management software in the past. They had the option of archiving a single project onto a PC or server.
This is a very valuable functionality - is there an update on this? It would greatly increase the value of utilizing Wrike as a scalable solution for large organizations.
Has there been any development of a Project archive function?
any update on this?
Hey everyone, apologies for the delay in response here.
There are currently no plans to implement this suggestion into Wrike. If anything changes, I'll be sure to let you know.
Hi this is a function we also need for our organization. When a project is finished there isn't a need to store it in Wrike as we won't refer back to it. HOWEVER, if we were to get audited by a client, we would need to pull up old projects to show what files were approved and when. We currently keep that information stored separately, but there isn't a simple way (that I know of) to transfer the files we've had up in wrike.
Agreed - It's all well and good for Wrike to suggest we export tasks periodically to avoid clutter - but the time it takes to manually export and archive documents, files and assets makes it a difficult job.
Would be awesome if the tool could also export files as well as an excel data sheet
I agree. Now that our project is complete, I'm looking for a way to document it in case questions arise. I have downloaded all the files and have exported the list view of the project which does include all the comments. But the files cannot be exported or downloaded connected to their individual tasks. If I could even export the files "view" that lists the files by task, that would help.
Hey everyone, thank you for sharing your feedback and use cases here. They've been passed on to the Product team. No updates at the moment, but if there are any changes here, I'll be sure to let you know.
@... Let me add my +1 to this request. Our organisation uses Wrike to manage several project that we don't want cluttering the Workspace, and being able to export would be a key feature.

The views expressed here are my own and not necessarily those of Oracle.
Thank you for sharing your input, Caterina Reed! This feedback has been passed on to the Product team.
I hadn't used Wrike for a while, now want to start fresh and not have past years work clutter up my workspace.
I think I'll create an archive section, move things in there, but they'll still come up, I suspect.
Even a HIDE function may be the solution that puts projects and tasks in a hidden mode
Seems like this has been wished for for 2 years by the community....
Hi Christian Milaster, welcome to the Community!
Although, as Hugh mentioned above, this suggestion is currently not planned by the team, you can still create an archive folder and move everything you don't need there. If the projects/folders you're moving to the archive aren't tagged anywhere else, they shouldn't come up again. Hope this helps!

Yes, it would be very, very, helpful if one could archive a project into a singular package file such as a zip file, including comments and attachments...

Echoing everyone's comments above!
Hi Laura Dembitzer, welcome to the Community! 🤗 Thank you for supporting this idea here!
I know that in the original post, Suzanne suggested a feature to archive everything, including comments and attachments, but maybe in some of the cases here at least, exporting data to Excel could also be an option?

Hi Christina Fischer, thank you so much for sharing your detailed feedback, and questions here. I've passed your questions, concerns, and ideas on to our Product team but in the meanwhile may I suggest you create a separate post under our How To forum? Please let me know if you have any questions 🙋🏻♀️
Hi team,
I too need this function. We are a small team working on 10 projects a year. We don't want to have our Wrike accounts filled with old projects. We want to export and archive. This is also for security as we have CRM and HR details within.
Please advise if there has been any movement from the Project team.
Ciao
Alexis

Hi Wrike,
We are a Museum who needs to archive all activity around exhibitions as well as other projects. This is a basic function we need for our institutional archives. Please let me know when there will be a solution to export a project in an archivally supportable format.
Thanks for adding your feedback here Julie McMaster and welcome to Community 🙂
As Lisa mentioned above, this is being worked on as we speak. As soon as we have some news to share we'll be sure to let you know here.
P.S. I'm a big museum lover 😊

Hi Wrike Team,
Do you have an update on this? A solid mass-archiving feature that includes all attachments etc. is essential. I can only mirror the points made by Christina Fischer in 2021 above. The original topic was started 6 years ago.
Many thanks
