Locking Request Form for editing

I have a suggestion to make about Request Forms.

Suggestion: Implement a feature to allow you to lock Request Forms from being edited (could be until you toggle off, set for a selectable time period ie. 30 min/1 hour/until tomorrow, until you make changes and hit save, etc.). The idea is to be able to lock a Request Form for editing so others can't go in and edit at the same time. 

Context: Since editing Request Forms isn't done in real time, multiple people can go in and make changes at the same time. It has happened on far too many occasions that I am working on a form and a colleague decides to do the same, overriding my changes if they save theirs after mine. On the flip side, it has also happened that I have overridden my colleagues' changes without knowing. There is simply no way to know who is working on a Request Form unless these conversations happen on the side. 

The benefit: Avoid wasting time by having to redo changes in the event that someone overrides your Request Form edits. Avoid confusion of who is editing what and when.
