[From Wrike] Copy Custom Views from Another Location 🔥

Hi everyone! 👋

We’re thrilled to bring you a highly requested update: copy custom views from another location 🔥

We know that many of you have been looking forward to this release, and we are delighted to announce it today!

You can now easily copy custom views from one project to another with just a few clicks. This includes copying the entire view setup, such as columns, custom fields, and view settings.

To get started, click on + View. To copy a view, click on Copy views from another location and choose where to copy from by clicking on + Location. You’ll be able to copy from one location at a time.

You can copy just one or multiple views from a different location to the current one. Please note that private views will retain their status.

Important notes 📌 :

  • This feature is available to all Business and higher subscriptions.
  • Users need to have a permission to Edit custom public views and Edit custom personal views to copy views, and Add/remove Custom Fields for the custom fields to be added.

But that’s not it!

Our team continues their work on enhancing custom views’ functionality 🚀 Here are a couple more exciting features to look forward to in the coming weeks:

  • Soon, you'll be able to copy one or multiple views to a specific location from the current project or folder 🔥
  • Additionally, you'll be able to copy views to all direct subprojects and subfolders 🔥

We hope you’re as excited about this release as we are!

It doesn't work properly, I use the copy feature and it only pulls in about 3 of 7 columns annoying as I have to duplicate views across 20 programmes

Welcome to the Community Ewan McSween 👋

This issue may arise if the missing columns are related to custom fields that do not exist or are not accessible in the destination location. This is because the user copying the views must have permission to add or remove custom fields for them to be included during the copy process. If this issue persists, please let me know so I can have one of our Support experts reach out to assist you further. Thank you!
