Feature Updates
- New Table View - Grouping, New Files Column, and Single List layout 📊
We have added several improvements to our New Table view. Now, users can group items according to any field attribute in the Table. You can achieve this by clicking on the “Group” button on the toolbar and selecting any visible fields as a grouping option. Note that it is only possible to select one field for item grouping.
Once the grouping is applied, you can:
- Expand and collapse groups.
- Move items between groups by dragging and dropping them (which changes their field value).
- Filter and sort items, and view sub-items as usual, even when items are grouped.
- See SUM sub-total on groups (note: only the first level of items are summed up).
Also, we have introduced a new column: Files. This column allows you to see both the number of files attached to the item, a thumbnail of the files, and also you have the possibility to preview them by hovering over them. You can also open attachments directly from the New Table view.
Last but not least, we've made it simpler to view tasks with the new Single List option, which you can access through the “Subitems” button on the toolbar. With this option, you can decide if you want to show only tasks in a single list or if you'd prefer to see the structure with projects and folders.
Please, feel free to check our dedicated post about these improvements here.
- Automation - New Action: Set Subitem Status & Automation Templates 🤖
We have added two new actions for both items (tasks) and projects to Automation: "Set task subitems’ status to..." and "Set project subitems’ status to...". With this new action, you can change the status of your subtasks to any status group or specific status.
We are also excited to introduce Automation Templates! We have created a list of 50+ rule templates you can choose from when creating an Automation rule. You can explore the "Recommended for you" section, which contains the must-haves and rules that many of our customers already enjoy today.
Additionally, you can browse feature categories like "Reminders and mentions", "Custom fields", "Assignment and workload" and more. Also, tags help you understand what is necessary and where to start, and you can use the search function to find the most suitable rule for you by name or description.

useless feature, WE WANT DARK MODE! REAL DARK MODE!
Hi everyone, thank you very much for the positive feedback! We're glad to see you're enjoying these updates 🚀
Jon Jon Patrick Gutierrez, please rest assured that we will share additional information about dark mode as soon as more information is available. Thank you for your understanding.
How do I find the automation recommendations? I went to my settings and automation area. I don't see the recommendations.
Hey Sus Scott! Alina from Automation team here. If you are wondering about AI suggestions, then a bit more details are available here, but to find the Automation suggestions, go to a space where you are an admin, open the Automation tab, click "+Create rule" and travel to "AI suggestions" section on the left. Mind that if the space is new and / or doesn't have any activity yet, Automation will need some time to suggest something as first you would need to generate some activity in the space.
If you are still not able to see the feature, please check the Labs page and ensure that it's enabled for your account.
Top picked templates, however, are available in the gallery when you are create a rule as a default section: when you open the templates gallery to create your first rule, you will be automatically landed in "Recommended for you" section.
Let us know if this helps!

Hi! We like the grouping feature a lot, but we found out that in table view, it does not work the way we want. Situation:
The items are indeed grouped by assignee. But we also see assignees that are NOT in the user group. I think this is because there are multiple assignees on some tasks (inside and outside the user group).
I guess I would expect the filters to work on the group headings as well.. Will this be possible in the future?
yet still no dark mode......................
Thank you for this feedback Karen Reijneveld, I'm sending it to our team now 👍
Jon Patrick Gutierrez It's planned to be released this month 🙂
