Create Wrike Request by right clicking on folder or project
Wrike requests help to control data entry and ensure consistency and are working well in our company.
It would be useful to be able to create a request by right clicking on a folder or project and the request then gets submitted to that project or folder + others as defined in the form.
Hi Paul! I really like this idea. For your particular use case, do you see the main benefit as an easy way of tagging to multiple Folders, or just as an easy way of adding to a specific location? Would it be best for all Requests to show in the list?
Hi Anastasia,
The task or project created by the request would only go into the folder or project selected plus the default folders and conditional folders specified in the request form.
For each user I would like to only show the request forms that are shared with logged in user.
The reason this would be useful is that we cannot currently map a request to a project list in Wrike which is dynamic. i.e. automatically updates from Wrike.
If as an alternative if there was a field type in the Request form which could allow the user to browse the folder / Project structure in Wrike to add the request in there that would be even better. This would allow requester to put the request into the correct project folder at the time of raising the request rather than submitting the request and then tagging with the project folder.
If necessary this could be restricted to only non collaborator licenses and not external forms?
Regards
Paul, that's really helpful! So I think the main obstacle here is simply the lack of an updated and dynamic Folder picker/search?
Hi Anastasia,
Yes that is correct.
Paul
This is a feature I've also requested. Another option would be similar to a feature that's been added which is using a blueprint from list view. It would be nice to add a request from that view as well. Right now I'd take either feature.
Having to tag after the fact is a step that is missed a lot!
