[From Wrike] Move & Copy File Attachments ๐
Planejadaย
How it works
- The file is removed from its original location
- You can choose whether or not to include their comments, previous versions, or approval details
- If you move a file with approval details, its full approval history remains visible
- The file is duplicated and exists in multiple instances, requiring additional storage space
- The latest version is copied, comments and approval details are not copied
- The team is planning to add an ability to move/copy a file from the Proofing interface in the future
- The team is also working on the ability to copy file permalink, rename files and delete certain versions of a file

This is amazing, thank you!!
One big feature that should be added is for the task selection dropdown to show all project tasks first as opposed to most recent tasks.
For instance, we have 100's of projects in progress at a time and they all follow a strict naming convention, so when you search that task name they all appear. That being said I have two ideas on how this can be improved:
1. The dropdown shows all project tasks first and then shows most recent.
2. Add a button that says: Select task inside this projectย which would then show a dropdown with only that projects tasks. I feel like this would be a cleaner way to implement this feature.ย
I would argue that 99% of the time we're moving to a task within a project, so it's not saving as much time yet as we had hoped. It definitely has helped, but can be improved greatly with this addition. :)

Hello Lisa,
One of our users had feedback regarding the length of tasks title visible in "Move & Copy File" pop-up
It is rather limited. Can wee see a bit wider view (preferably the whole title ๐)
And, yes we know that a permalink would give a single task in search lookup but one would have to find that task beforehand in a separate window or smth.
Thank you for this feedback, Admin Bot! I'm passing it on to the team nowย ๐

My team is having trouble finding the task to move the file to when they're trying to move the file. When typing the name of the task to move it to (especially since a lot of our projects use the same templates), it seems that every other task with that name pops up as opposed to the one they need in the project. We've been changing the task names temporarily to move the file and then changing it back, but this is becoming a problem for us. Are there any updates being worked on for this function?
It is a much needed feature and we love it, but hope that the kinks are worked out soon!
Thank you for letting us know your feedback, Kristen Gundersen! I'm passing it on to the team now.ย
