Custom Fields on Gantt Chart

Hi Amandine,

Unfortunately custom fields are not visible on the Gantt chart view. This would be a great feature request to post in the Product Feedback forum.

While you cannot add custom fields to display on the Gantt Chart view, you are still able to filter tasks according to those custom fields.

In the example of a budget custom field, one could create a custom currency field on a project and assign values to the related tasks that you wanted to discern between. You could then filter the Gantt Chart according to the field you created (e.g. "budget") and specify which values you are interested in (e.g. all tasks with budget values between 45 and 5000). This can be combined with other custom fields to further refine the results, used on other views that allow filtering tasks to change how they are displayed, or even saved to a dashboard as a custom widget.

What is not shown in this screenshot is a task I created in the project with a "budget" field value of 8000 (since it is not between 45 and 5000 specified in the filter).

One idea might be to create a dashboard for a project with a widget that filters for tasks with budgets within a certain range, or above a certain threshold, that you need to pay attention to. 

Let me know if I can clarify any points in my description. Though this does not seem to be quite what you asked for, I hope it was of interest nonetheless.

This is outdated. Custom fields are available in Gantt view 

Thanks for pointing that out, Leah Houg 🙂 I just wanted to add that Custom Fields are available on the table portion of the Gantt Chart.

Custom fields are *not* available in the Ganntt chart view, only the table view. Will this be available soon? for example, I have "delayed start / end dates" i wish to show in the ganntt chart. thank you
