Ability to "Leave project"
We work with a number of individuals, some internal, external and collaborators. Sometimes an individual needs to stop working on a project as it is no longer of relevance to them, or the project wraps up and nothing more is required.
Currently, an External user will see all projects they are invited to, with no ability to leave them or at least hide them.
It would be really useful for all users to have the option of "Leave project" that wouldn't require the project owner or admin to take action.
Hi Chris,
There are a couple ways you can remove members from a project (assuming you haven't already tried these).
You can remove them as owners:
Or unshare the project with them:
They can also use the Follow option to help hide updates from the project:
Hope these help!

HUUNNNNNN UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
Just kidding! The third option looks useful in our exact use case, but I think a user should still have more control over what projects they are on, not just the ability to "ignore" them.
Actually this would just prevent notifications, not remove it from a very long list of past projects on the left hand panel.
@Chris, totally fair.
My only other suggestion is to create an Archive folder that houses all past projects, so at least they don't get in the way of current work.
Six weeks dungeon. No trials.
When a project is complete, and I determine that nobody needs to see it anymore, I just unshare it with everyone. Then nobody can see it. I should also go in and "unfollow" everyone at the project level. Then I move the project into an archive folder for my own sanity.
Hi Susan,
This is missing the issue that we have, that it's not the project owner that wants the power to remove people from a project, it's a member of the team that wants to be able to leave of their own accord.
Chris
We'd like this ability too
Hi Federico Fanton, welcome to the forum 👋
Could you please let me know if your team finds it useful to unfollow such projects?

Hello Lisa,
Well it does help a bit with notifications, but the "shared with me" page is still cluttered with lots of uninteresting things.
I understand Federico Fanton. Do you use the Shared with me section regularly? Maybe you could consider using, for example, the Pinned section or starred tasks to find the needed items easily?
Sometimes you may not need to follow those items, but if you need to find something in Wrike, you won't be able to if it's not shared with you.

It's just that people tend to share stuff quite liberally :D So the "shared with me" section becomes quickly unusable...
Hello Federico Fanton, thank you for your reply, I've passed your feedback to our Product Development Team. May I ask you if applying filters to the section could be useful in your case?

I'm afraid it wouldn't help much, maybe if there was a filter to show only projects/folders that contain something related to me (activities assigned to me or comments mentionting me)
Hello! I realize this is an old forum, but I'm adding my voice as a user who would like the ability to remove projects from my "Shared" project tab. My side panel has become so followed with projects and folders that have been shared with me but that I have no actual role in, that it's not even usable. I've switched to using a personal Google sheet just so I can organize my own tasks, but I would like to have more control on the platform our entire team is on.
I know the solution is to ensure that project owners are more judicious about sharing and completing projects, but that's just not happening and I don't have the power to make it happen.
