Custom Calendar design

Hello,

Only a week into getting set up and using Wrike for my team. I'm looking at the best way to replicate (if possible) a calendar view we're all quite used to, that has been quite a manual process for the company over the last few years.

I've attached a screenshot below, hopefully it still makes sense after removing our clients identifiers. Each Project is a colour and therefor the assigned user has that project seen across the date.

Hopefully that makes sense? Any ideas/advice on how and if this is possible would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Kyle

Hi Kyle Sleep, thank you for reaching out!

It's possible to create a calendar in Wrike and create layers within that calendar for each team member. It might be easier if you have a folder structure that would have folders for each team member/client with projects in these folders. Here's an example: I created folders for different team members; then I created a calendar with a layer for each team member. I chose colors for each user (I also added colors for each folder for visibility and matched those with calendar layers' colors):

So now I can see who's doing this month with useful color-coding. Hope this is helpful! Please let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to discuss 🙂

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your suggestion 🙂

My only question on that setup which I've just tried to build, if two people are on the same project it only shows it once and in one of their colours, is there a way to get around this?

Thank you!

Thank you for getting back to me Kyle Sleep

What if you added another folder for team projects where there are multiple project owners?:

Thank you for coming back Lisa and sorry for me being a pain on this, I could see how that would work.

But as an example of where we're at:

I have a meeting scheduled linked to 2 users,

but as you can see even though both have colours available, only one is displayed,

the reason for the need for this is the ability to know which of our operations team are available/ on a project in a clear view day by day. If it means we stick with our current calendar system then we may have to do that

Hi Kyle Sleep, since the Calendar view doesn't add the same Project twice, it will be shown in the color of the assignee whose Widget is enabled first. I can see how the structure you have in mind can help other users as well, and it would be great if you could submit your feedback in a form of a new post on the Product feedback forum and elaborate on way you use the Calendar view 🙌

Also, to have more visibility for projects assignees, you can use Dashboard Widgets for each individual in your team, however, the Widget shown only the Due date of the project:
Let me know if you have any questions!
