Reports based on projects and tasks
In my team, we add both tasks and projects. I'd like to be able to run a report based on both criteria, but currently- it appears I can only choose to run a report based on projects or based on tasks. How can I do both in the same report to get a more holistic view of my team's work?
Hi Lexi Wilson, welcome to the Community! 👋
Currently, it's only possible to create reports either on tasks and subtasks or projects. At the same time, when creating a report based on tasks, it's possible to group them by projects. Could that be helpful?

This is increasingly becoming a frustration and annoyance to our 400+ users. We are creating unnecessary project custom fields to compensate for the lack of this simply functionality. This needs to be in Wrike' 2024 roadmap
Thank you for supporting this suggestion Christine BROMLEY!

I have about 200 users including 8 designers, Users need to be able to see all their projects and tasks in one place, it's frustrating for them to have to switch from one report to the next. For my designers to track their projects and tasks I created a dashboard where I have side to side their projects and tasks but this is not feasible as a solution for every user. Is there something place that I am not aware of or is something in the works to resolve this issue ?
Has there been any movement on this issue. We are having a similar issue in which we can report on projects, however we need to see the tasks that live within the project to ensure we are moving forward towards a deadline.

I'd suggest using other Wrike tools and views in the meantime, for example, would table view work for your team?

I agree that having a report with Projects + Tasks would be super helpful. Using sort by folder in task view does not work to accomplish what is needed.

Hello Basudha,
I do not think so as I need a report that shows all projects + associated tasks in one report. When I'm looking at the dashboards, I have to select either Projects or Tasks - same with reports. I want both in one.

Sure, that makes sense, Christi Adams. I will pass on your interest to our product team. 👍🏽

Throwing my support hat into the ring for this, too! Lisa, your suggestion for sorting Tasks by Projects was helpful, but I really would love to have all of them in one!
Thank you for supporting this suggestion, Madison Macklin. I will forward your feedback to our product team. 👍🏽

WHY is this still not available? Being able to see all active tasks and projects in ONE report is a no brainer!!
Hey @tad saine, you can report on projects and tasks. If you go to reports and build a custom report for the tasks and subtasks, you can pull in the project field name. To customize the fields shown in your report, click the gear icon in your report, it's at the very top of the row counting field.
Should resolve the issue. But yea, not intuitive. This option should be under the "Edit" area in the top right of the panel.
Any update about this really important feature?
Hi folks! 😊 There are no updates at the moment but you can follow a similar thread on our Product Feedback forum for updates. Nevertheless, we are passing your feedback along to our team. Thank you! 👍🏽
