Copy Form Details to All Tasks/Subtasks
When we submit a request form, it usually has multiple tasks/subtasks. The assignees do not get the details of the request submitted, it only appears if they go to the parent task or project. Is there a way you could add a "Copy Contents in Subtasks" option when submitting the form?
Hi Jen Derry, thank you for sharing your suggestion, I've passed on your feedback to our Product team 🙋🏻♀️
this is something that I am hoping gets built into Wrike.
in our case, we have clients submit production orders and in the wrike back end several different tasks and subtasks are created with blank details about the order. We have a coordinator copy/paste information from the main task down to the other subtasks. As you can imagine this is a very "manual" effort and time consuming. If we have a feature that would allow us to copy over the form information to the subtasks it would help save a lot of time and resources.
Hi Oscar Colindres, welcome to the Community and thank you for sharing your use case here. I'm passing on your feedback to our team.
Thought I had our request forms and tasks all figured out, only to find this same issue: there's no way to have data from a field duplicated on the subtask. This means the assignee on the subtask has to go back to the parent task to see the information from the request form. SOOOOO disappointed! Please move this up the priority list.
Just upvoted this issue. I'm trying to create projects for our engineering department with subtasks through a request form. I'm using blueprints for the subtasks. Our projects consist of 2 possible main subtasks. So 3 possible types of projects.
For each possible main task and for each possibly assigned engineer I've made blueprints.
I've used a single select question to choose the project type. The user is redirected to another page depending on the answer.
On this page they select the engineer (multiple select, not assignee). Depending on this selection subtasks are created which are assigned to the project and engineer.
This works because of the limited variation and took a while to setup but saves on manual work for our engineers. So a better solution/connection in automation between tasks and subtask is still a big wish!
I have upvoted this as well! Is this going to be updated any time soon?
I am using these request forms to project manage my teams services to a number of brands. It would be helpful really helpful if the descriptions that were added to the form's questions were also copied to the actual sub tasks so my team doesn't have to go back and forth to the main request description or someone doesn't have to manually always copy it over to the sub task description before work begins. With the amount of services my team covers and the amount of brands we service it would life a lot easier :)
Fingers crossed.

We have the exact same ask.
We have a form that is used to capture details for creative assets that creates a parent task and subtask. Every time this is done, my fulfillment team has to manually copy and paste content from the parent task into the subtasks and then delete non-relevant asset information. If we could have form pages submit content to specific subtasks that would be a game changer.
