Wrike Advisory Group

Does Wrike (The Company) have an advisory group made up of industry experts (like Certified PMP's) and users to guide in the decision making process for the priority and need for new product features?

I second this. I remain on the fence with whether to reup with Wrike or not when my license ends later this year, a large part of this is what I think is a disconnect between what Product is working on, and real needed features by real users as evidenced by the community and good bit of discontent in it.  The upcoming Sharepoints Doc integration

I read the community carefully, and compared to many other begged for features, this one seems to be, reading those comments, not that in demand.  I agree it has a lot of votes, but this voting as an arbitrary standard that somebody at Wrike imposed on users.  Which begs the question - who decided to prioritize it?  Users, or some Product Managers who are out of touch with reality?

I also trialed the new UI, which looked good in a lot of ways, but one thing that was gone was the view of all folders and spaces in the left panel, a key aspect of Wrike for my use.  The new UI had only a view of a given Space if you were in that Space.  So basically the new UI was a step back for me.  Again, wondering who decided to ditch what is probably one of Wrike's most unique and helpful features.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for your feedback here! This is a very interesting discussion, so I'm going to raise this topic with our Product team. One thing I can tell you right now is that all Wrike customers have an opportunity to leave their feedback through different channels, including this Community, of course, and our Product team review this feedback very carefully. I'll see if I could share more details on this topic once I talk to the team.

Thanks again for bringing this up! 🙂

The reason I ask is that there are some fundamental (to professional project management) features that are missing in Wrike or not implemented in the industry standard way.  It is easy for companies developing products to focus on collaboration features more than the fundamentals of project management.  This is often driven from the viewpoint of CRM versus other business functions like product development and manufacturing.  Several years ago I helped develop a very successful ERP system for small to medium sized businesses and we utilized the community forums as well as a focus advisory group made up of industry experts in their fields to guide the development of what is needed in the product.  This ensured that when a feature was added, it was very much needed in the community, was implemented with the right functionality and fit with the long term growth of system.  It also proved to be received as the company being very responsive to the community needs.  Just a suggestion.

Dear Wrike Team,

The question/recommendation raised by Larry Davidson and enriched by Al Sape is absolutely justified.

There are significant features missing known to Project Managers (older by experience or younger by training).

Cerified PMPs and especially Senior PMPs are the source where you can draw significant feedback on your roadmap.

Despite the tendency to follow Agile development as the ultimate customer-centric approach to develop products, the expert advise will equip with features that will accelerate adoption by fulfilling the needs of decision makers in Project Organizations. If project business organization, corporate project business office or project directors are convinced that it serves its purpose, then the adoption is ultimately guaranteed.
