Differentiate between Task and Project visually

Our team usually adds information at the Project level, not the Task level. This is where we have conversation, upload files, etc. However, other than the little clipboard being blue or black, there isn't a great way to visually identify if we are looking at a task or a project. Sometime a person will accidentally comment or add files to the task level, and the next person can't find it. Can we add some sort of differentiation? Maybe make the background color white for projects and blue for tasks?

Thanks,

Lindsey

Yes. I'd like to more easily tell the difference between the task and project level.

It used to be easy to tell the difference, when there was the colored status bar at the top of a project window. Now the differences are much more subtle. It'd be nice to have a more immediate way to tell the difference.

Hey Lindsey Walters! I've passed on your suggestion to the Product team, but I don't have any updates on it at the moment. I will let you know once I do 🙂

Agreed! There is a lot of confusion amongst our team members when differentiating between tasks, projects, and folders. It would be great if we could have something other than the icon differentiating. Maybe the color is slightly different? It would be very helpful in making this clear to our team members as we work in the tool!

It would be great if there could be some differentiating between tasks, projects, and folders by either color or formatting of some sort, like bolding. There is still confusion amongst our team members between those items types specifically.

I hope the solution will also be applied to the Table view - to differentiate between project and task rows. (Or should I submit a separate request for that?)

Hi everyone! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Thank you for your ideas. Currently in the Table view, projects and tasks are differentiated by text formatting. Folders and projects are displayed in bold text, while tasks are shown in regular text. Additionally, the difference is clarified with different icons. 👇🏼

Let me know if this makes differentiation easier. If not, would any changes besides color formatting help?
