[Best Practices] Managing Remote Team Meetings Effectively

Hey everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹
As some of you may be working remotely at the moment, keeping in contact with your team is likely one of your top priorities. Wrike can help with organizing weekly team meetings, 1-1 meetings and more! Here's how ๐Ÿ‘‡

To organize effective meetings in Wrike, it's important to set up your tasks in an easy to access area, so that your team can add notes to the agenda and review the minutes of past meetings.
Here's one possible way to organize your folders. In your team's space, create a folder titled ''Meetings'', and in that folder, create two sub-folders; "Team Meetings" and "1:1". If you have a team calendar, be sure to schedule these meetings in Wrike so that your team can easily access any past or future meetings with you or the whole team.

Meeting Structure

There is no one correct way to run a meeting, but here are a few examples of structures and plans that you can use in your meetings to ensure a successful and productive experience;

Team Meetings

Data Focused - Review weekly metrics, plan for the upcoming week, and discuss team-driven topics.
Sharing knowledge - Break the ice with some fun activity, discuss highlights of the past week and share plans for the upcoming week.

1:1 Meetings

Progress Focused - Accomplishments, roadblocks, and feedback.
Discussion focused - Action items and notes from both manager and team member.
Learning focused - Questions and training.
If you want to track what has been covered in a meeting, I'd recommend using check marks. You can mark off topics as they are being discussed.

Recurrent Tasks

If your meetings will be weekly, the most efficient way to organize these tasks is to make them recurrent. These will appear in your Inbox at the same time each week and appear in a calendar if scheduled, ensuring that these meetings won't be missed. You can create templates for each of your recurring tasks as well by clicking on the description field while you're making/editing the recurrence. One of the ways you could utilize this is by adding headers like "Announcements" or "Highlights", creating a structure that is easily customizable for every meetings' needs.
