Ability to select an existing task to link to an email in GMail
Re: Wrike for Gmail (Gmail Add-On)
It would be extremely helpful to be able to associate an email with an existing task in Gmail; not just the ability to create a new one. It would eliminate a lot of searching for task emails and forwarding steps. Basically, this add-on should be trluy bi-directional like Xobni showed us years ago.

I've posted on the other thread and upvoted. This add-on really needs to get beefed up. Email isn't going away for external comms.
please explain this. If I am busy with a task and it involves me sending at email to someone to find out info. this person is not on Wrike and I don't want them to be either. I just want to send an email to get some info and keep that answer in that task. how can I do this?
I am also on Mac. so is there another way to create a link to that email? so at least I can find that email easily from within the task?
I can explain it. Requirements and roadmaps are created from ideation and brainstorming - or worse, from this community - and not by mapping out the user's job-to-be-done, and the associated metrics we (users) use to measure success. While the community contributes to the problem, it also clearly highlights gaps that would be caught using a different method for understanding requirements.
I'm sure there is plenty of rigor around sifting through and prioritizing ideas. The problem is that there is no guarantee that any of the ideas is a good idea.
This request is that needle in the haystack that can't be found because more and more hay gets added to the stack. In my professional opinion. ;)
If I have already created a task in a project, I really need to be able to add all associated emails to the task instead of adding them as additional tasks, I thought this would be a main feature in the integration, as opposed to just creating new tasks .
For example when you get a new reply which isn't attached to the conversation view in Gmail (alot of people send fresh emails to reply instead of replying to existing emails), you need to be able to attach that email to the task along with existing emails
