Reports and Custom Fields

Currently I can create a custom field for  include in Report I can manually check all Over Due  and  Skipped tasks and run a report against it. 

However it would be great if I could set rules to automatically check this box when a task becomes overdue or is skipped.  

Or Allow Reports to have OR Filters  or a add a Report Merge function.
