Clicking on the project folder under the task title
One thing that has been frustrating me is when I am viewing a task in the dashboard. When you click to open it, the task pops up on-top of the dashboard. I need to go back to the project/folder level for the original brief and instructions though. So I click on the shortcut link to the project/folder which is located just below the task title.
This takes me to a new screen which has highlighted the project/folder on the left, shows all tasks in the next panel and the third panel still shows the task details. So it hasn't taken me fully back to the details located in the actual project/folder.
I have to then click again on the project/folder to get those details.
This seems like too many clicks and it would be good if the first click I made took me straight back to the project level.
I agree! I see 2 main issues:
1. When my team has to toggle between a task (which is where the action steps are) and the project (which is where the project details are), it's very time consuming. I wish we could see both at the same time in one window. Today, we open two windows and have to manually open the project via the permalink - then view the two side-by-side in 2 browser windows.
2. When given the link to a task or viewing a task within a dashboard, there is no easy way to go to the project. We have to click into the folder, then find the project within, and click into that. This is really difficult when we have dozens of projects which are named similarly. It would be great if we could somehow click into the project directly from a task.
Thank you for your feedback Laura Walz, I've shared it with our Product team 👍🏼
