Filtering out folders in timeline view

Hi, 

I'm working on about 10 projects spread across 3 folders that are all nested under a bunch of other folders. I was hoping to have a 10 line gantt chart that I could expand to see the tasks in each project if needed, so every morning, I could open that one chart and clearly see my tasks within the greater context of how projects were coming along (because I'm project managing those projects too).

Looking at the timeline view of my whole team folder and filtering by only "me" as the assignee would be great, except since each relevant project is nested under a bunch of folders, my gantt chart has 10 relevant lines (my projects) and about 50 irrelevant lines (the folders the projects are nested under). 

Is there any way to not show the folders in a timeline view? Or is there another way of getting the desired result that I might not be aware of?
