Exclude option in Wrike reporting. Allow "or" logic search
What I’m looking for is the ability to include an “or” statement on a list of report filter criteria. For instance, I want to know if ANY of the following items are blank in a project:
- Order date –or-
- Target Go-Live date –or-
- Concept
It looks like that is not currently an option.
- Currently have would be to run a report on each filter we would like to check and then combine them.
- You can also run a report not excluding the filters you'd like to check. Once the report is up, you can change the view (via the gear on the side) to only show the details (including the customized fields you'd like to check, along with any other information you want to cross check), then click the fields' names (i.e. "Target Go-Live"), to show the blank ones on top. You can only compare one filters' blanks at a time.
Both of these options are extremely time consuming for a request that I can only imagine is common and much needed one.
If there is already an enhancement request would you mind guiding me to it so I can bump it, add my feedback and see what alternatives other users have come up with? Thank you!!
Hi Deidra! I'm so sorry for the delayed reply here. This is a great request though, you had me busting out my demo account to try just to confirm how things worked. I haven't been able to find another thread, so this is a great place to start. Would it be okay with you if I tweak your post title a little and add ' "or" search' to the title?
Sure, that's a great idea! Thanks Stephanie!
No problem!
I agree, this would be useful. What I'd really love to see is an advanced search query builder -- something more robust and flexible than what's available now. And of course it should allow for "OR"!
Really importante to have this feature, is in the pipeline??
Thks
@... is there any news about this topic during the last three years?
Hey Sven Passinger, hope you don't mind me jumping in for Stephanie here.
I don't currently have an update on this topic. What would really help here is more support from the Community, so please make sure to upvote the top post by Deidra if you haven' yet 👍

Lisa I already did that. The problem with your community upvote is always that perople have to find the post. And it was really not easy to find this one when I was searching for my topic (much easier to open an own post). I do not belive that only so less people would like to have the feature for reports as it would open up a huge amount of new possibilities. And Wrike is a database. So reports should be a main topic.
Thank you for letting us know your feedback about our Community's Product Feedback forum, Sven Passinger!

I would really like this feature, I have a report and I want it to show any projects that have x or y or z custom field blank. right now I have to create a report for each, and that's very inefficient
Hi Chris Roberts, thank you for chiming in here and for sharing your feedback, I've passed it on to the team👍🏼
Yes, this would be a major improval of Wrike! 🙏 Glad I've found this post, I wanted to create one myself about this.
Thanks for supporting here Sammy 🙌
