My to-do List Exclude or toggle DELETED tasks

When I access the "My To-Do List," it displays all of my uncompleted tasks, including ones that have been deleted. It would be helpful if there were a setting or toggle to exclude deleted tasks by default. It's possible this option already exists, but if so, it's not immediately clear where to find it (to me anyways).  Happy to be shown where this can be resolved if there is already a solution in the product.  🙃
