List View > Table View -- Need Descriptions When Exporting

My team is extremely frustrated by Wrike's decision to remove List View, which we relied on to work with other departments and easily view/manage tasks, etc.

That said, I'm trying to replicate List View functionality with Table View. One function is exporting tasks with descriptions. I haven't found a way to export tasks in a Table that results in a spreadsheet with each task's description. This is critical for our planning and other work.

Anyone know how to export a list of tasks with descriptions using Table View (or some other way)?

Hi John Krogh,

You can absolutely export with descriptions in Table view. 

  1. Swap to Table view in the location you want to export from
  2. Click the "..." along the top row of actions
  3. Click "Export project to Excel" (not "Export this table to Excel" as this will just automatically download a Table)
  4. Select the second option called "Projects, folders and all tasks" (not "Projects, folders and filtered tasks" as you cannot bring up Description as a field in Table view)
  5. Click Export and then download when the export is ready

Hope this helps - I just tested it and was able to see my Description field in the exported Excel file!
