Data for a Design Team

Our Head of Design wants to see our data laid out nicely - she would like to see how resources are spent within departments, which projects take up the most time, how to see which are our most profitable projects, etc. I understand these would need information already included and I can filter by them in data pages and dashboards, but I have found it challenging to translate some Wrike practises to a design layout. We work very visually, and I am not well versed in data. What should I be looking out for, and are there any examples I can use as a starting point? I want her to able to change customers easily and see the data change, but like I've said I'm not sure where to start!
