Calendars
We have different teams sending out emails to partners, donors, socials etc. We, as a comms team, set up a folder to house all the different pieces of communications going out into the world - newsletters, dedicated emails, social media across all channels - and share the calendar with the organization. This works well because;
- people can plan their send, their post, whatever the deliverable is based on what's already planned. This will mitigate fatigue of information from us.
- people submitting tickets/forms for us to complete work, often work to also be put out into the world by our team, can see the schedule, plan ahead and give us the time we need to build the comms piece and share it
- The task item living in the “external comms” calendar is where the copy, the images etc…the work for the communication piece is done and tracked and it's also automatically pulled into the calendar from there.
Hi Tracy Avery 👋 thank you for taking the time to create a detailed post and share your practice with our members 🙂
