Custom Fields > Comparator > Dates InRange

Hi all, I am trying to get data using a custom fields>comparator>dates in range filter.  I see that minvalue and maxvalue parameters are required but i'm stuck on the formatting.  Anyone by chance have an example of a successful call using these parameters?
