Dashboards and Workflow status
In evidenzaHi all, I am trying to create a tracking dashboard for projects but when I look at the graph I have three ‘Completed’ statuses that belong to different Workflows. My question is is there any way to leave all the completed ones as a set to show the completed progress, instead of by workflow?
Thanks
Hi Jessica Lanchimba,

you can break graph for Status and/or Status Group.
Breaking for Status is ok, but If you need to have specific Status name and three Completed status grouped you can't do it because 3 Completed are different statuses.
So I suggest you to track in a Widget only "Active and Deferred status group " used as filter and breaking tasks with Status, then create a unique widget with Completed Status Group filter only.
Hi Jessica!
As Pietro said, breaking by status group vs. status will give you a clear view of active and completed tasks. I do this in my quick view dashboard where I have one graph that shows percentages by status and another with status group side by side. Once you have also sorted by status group, you can add additional filters if you want to narrow down your results even further.
Another option you have would be using a report, such as project status, with the project burndown chart. The reports do take longer to load when you refresh the data, but have additional flexibility in display and tracking. For example, the project status report gives you burndown, days in status, completed task calendar, and tasks created/completed trend graphs.
So when you create a new dashboard widget, you'll select that it is pointing at the Entire Account for the scope of the query, and then point it at Project item types. Swap over from Data to Filters in the widget config, and set it up like this:
As you can see from my example, the widget is pulling in all Project-type items (even Custom Items that are "Project" items), and is showing multiple "Completed" statuses (with different names for "Completed" and different color coding depending on the team's workflow preferences).
Agree - would go by the Status Group vs Individual Status Items "Completed"
Looks like you heard from the best of the best already! I would echo the idea of a report though personally. I like being able to see the info in pivot tables beneath the chart/graph to get more detail when needed.
