Enter time from (view-only sum) Time Spent field in task details or cell in table view

What if there were additional ways to quickly add a time entry to a task, besides the ▸0:00 in each task's details? It would be handy and intuitive when one sees a task in a table view with Time Spent shown in a column to be able to click that cell to pop up the time entry form. Or even when Time Spent shows in a task's item details layout.
