Gantt Chart Dependencies and Custom Fields

Hello Wrike Community!

I recently was trying to use the Gantt Chart view for a project that has many steps that need to occur in a certain order before other steps can begin. I have a couple of custom fields I have setup for each task of the project. What I am noticing is that I cannot set dependencies between my task, and I am assuming it is because of the type of custom fields I have created for my project's tasks. The type of custom fields I have created for my project's tasks are Single Select, and the options I have put in are: "Addressed"; "Not Addressed". I am making this assumption because when I create a test folder and create two new test tasks with staggered start and due dates, and the status is a default Wrike status, I can set dependencies between them.

Can someone please help me with informing on what type of custom field types work in the Gantt Chart view to set dependencies between task?

Thank you!

Hi Ian Edwards! I'm not aware of any relation between custom fields and setting up dependencies.

However, tasks with deferred or canceled status can't be a part of a dependency. Also, completed tasks can only be added as predecessors. Can you please let me know if that's your case?
