Missing / Hidden / Removed Search Box
Hello folks,
Is anyone else annoyed like me about this.?
"Lightspeed" removed the "search bar" section from the top right hand side of the wrike screen, and now it is embedded on the LEFT hand side, whereby you have to click to open and then type. Oh, that leads nicely into the next issue. When we open this [or use Ctrl+K] it contains the historical search data. Now i may be old and useless, but how many times does ANYONE look for the EXACT same data string when performing a search they did immediately PRIOR ? Ans: NO ONE.
I request that the SEARCH bar be cleared BEFORE I have to type anything. Don't make me back-space over the data or press "x". You are simply ADDING more keystrokes to the most basic of search requests.
Second, why not have the search-bar back in the top right hand corner? It is not taking up any real-estate that is being used. My neck and posture is bad enough without having to go left to open SEARC, then go CENTRE to type, then lastly go RIGHT to read the open project/task/sub-task. If you are displaying everything on the right hands side, then leave the search option on the right hand side.
Phew, that's enough for this one .... I have another 23 items I will raise separately.... re "Lightspeed" It's anything BUT speedy, it has added dozens if not hundreds of extra key stroke to each function I perform. Seriously.
very well written post Peter Tisdall, I completely share your views.
it's just how it is 😕
We really appreciate your feedback, folks, thank you for sharing it. I've already sent it to the team responsible for navigation.

Thank you Lisa, I use MS Outlook, and dozens of times a day I use the Search bar; it is ALWAYS empty. Wrike seems to stand alone on this 'pre-populated data' and we look forward to a speedy change by the Dev team and UaT.
Thank you for the additional details Peter Tisdall - and for starting this thread 🙂
