Board View - Colour Coding Cards

Hello,

We would like to be able to colour code the cards in the board view based on the size of the task. We've got a couple custom fields that tell us how big the task is but there isn't really a way to show that in the board view.

Thanks,

Andrea M.

Hi Andrea, thanks for this suggestion! I'd love to learn a bit more about how you define a large task in the Custom Field. Is this based on duration?

We need this feature as well (color coding of task cards, the entire card) however, we need the flexibility to set the visibility to a global view (personal view) so that global view color cannot be changed on a large scale. Right click on Folder/Project>Card color>(options, Visible to All, Visible to Individual)>[available color choices with meanings], where hover over brings up pop-up with optional text.

Instead of the cards defaulting to white

We can either select the color from the predetermined options (with text clarification) or have a predetermined factor that dictates their color, such as workflow status, dependencies, or assigned role that changes the card color.

This option will be extremely useful for agile teams using Wrike as a Kanban board.!

That way it would be really easy to spot the type of task based on the color. Even better if that color is associated with a "label" or type.

This one of the reasons I prefer to use Trello and similar tools, despite of the fact our company has an enterprise Wrike license.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to chime in here to let you know that custom fields can now be shown on the tasks' cards in Board View. I understand this is not exactly what's asked for here, but could that help?

It would be very useful to have coloured labels for cards in Kanban view - for easy visibility and help to quickly distinguish task types. For example we are a creative team and would like to sort cards into media types (film, brand, print, digital etc).

Could there be an update to add this as a feature?

Thanks

Lisa, custom field visibility on the front of the card is good, but doesn't fully support what I need. I'm using a kanban board as a project management tool for learning & development projects. I need a quick way to scan a lot of cards and see ones that are held up waiting for SME input. Being able to color code the whole card would make this far easier.

Smartsheet, which is the tool I used before, has that functionality.
