A recent update has changed/impacted a functionality. To input project, I duplicate a project template. Project has multiple tasks within it. Previous functionality was that the project level start and end dates were blank (as it is in the project template). Recent change means that the start and end dates associated with the project are auto-filled with only the start date of the first task. The impact of this is that the length of time bar in the gantt chart view doesn't represent the timeline for the tasks in the project. To get the timeline view to represent the tasks int he project, for each project I am going in and removing the start end dates (which again, are NOT present in my template).

Can you explain the benefit of this functionality, and any way to avoid this occurring? If I imported from excel sheet, rather than duplicating, or any other possible solutions...
