Feedback form Task reschedule based on a custom field date

Would be great if I could reschedule the task based on a custom date field, instead of being limited to just the task due date. I use a custom field to track actual due dates for our tasks. (A long story, but basically our tasks involve multiple steps and we use the due dates as the date for the next step, not the final completion date).
