Inherited Sharing - Template Project

I've created a template project (with associated subprojects and tasks). I have the inherited sharing turned off, and have selected the specific users I want each subproject shared with.If I duplicate this template, will the sharing selections I've made stick? Or will everything default to inherited sharing "on"?

Soraya,

Are you duplicating the task into the folder it started in? I know we do something similar, but we duplicate into a "customer" folder, to which we all have access. Everyone sees those projects as the sharing cascades down.

Hi Michael,

It's not just a task we are duplicating. Our template is a project, with subprojects, and those subprojects have tasks. The entire project is duplicated. My question relates to the Inherited Sharing feature that exists for Enterprise accounts.

@Soraya Hey, thanks for posting 🙂
As Inherited Sharing can only be applied at a Folder/Project level, when you duplicate it, you'll need to turn off Inherited Sharing for the new Folder/Project as well.
Please let me know if you have any further questions, from my experience, sharing can be sometimes challenging so I'm here to help 💪
