Ability to access views of Starred folders and projects
As our projects and folders list has become longer and more complex, I use the star (favorites) feature to locate the projects/folders I'm working/interested in at the top.
I would be nice to have the ability to click on STARRED and be able to see the same features as LIST, BOARD, TIMELINE, etc.
It works when I click on my account name on the left hand side. It gives me the ability to see all those features for my entire account. It would be nice if the same existed for STARRED.
Hi Kevin, just want to clarify here that you're starring these Folders/Projects in your Folder tree like below and would like to see these items in a view tab?
I just want to mention that you can create a Dashboard for starred tasks which may be useful here if you're unaware. I understand this is tasks not Projects and Folders.
Thanks for the suggestion here 👍
Yes, you are correct in the above statement. But let's take a look at your above example.
If I decide to put a star next to Administration and Development, those two folders get put under Starred at the top. From there, I would like to be able top see all the different views of the Starred folders.....List, Board, Table, Timeline, etc.
Does that make sense?
I'd also love to see the same view @Kevin proposes. That would be ideal as I have several folders which I own and want to see, but not others on my team. This is why I star the folders.
@Nick @Kevin Sorry, one last point of clarification here! So ideally - you'd like to be able to click "Starred" and see all of the Tasks from all of your starred Folders/Projects and then choose the view you want to see them in?
@Stephanie
Correct. I know you can run reports, but it really only gives you a table view.
Being able to use board view of STARRED tasks or even workload for resources would really be beneficial and create more views for people to use.
I agree with Kevin. I have a report for a view, which works for now, but it doesn't seem like that's ideal because I have to refresh the data.
Ideally, I would like to see my STARRED folders in a table view.

I'd like to piggy-back on this idea and add that it would be nice if all individually-starred tasks (i.e. not just those belonging to starred projects/folders) were also included in the Starred folder view. This would give it UI parity with how normal projects and folders behave.
It's very confusing to me that starred projects/folders show up in one place in the UI (the Starred pseudo-folder at the top of the sidebar) but individual starred tasks are buried in a completely different place (the Starred tab of the Inbox).
Hi Wun Chiou, thank you for this feedback! It's been passed on to the Product team.
