[Status: Coming Soon...🕑 (available in the New Board View - Wrike Labs)] Add subtasks to the Board View

This request has been ongoing for 2-3 years. It's not much help to say that the timeframe is currently unavailable. Lots of frustration about this.

Please!  This would go a long way in making this a very functional product.  I would be able to stop using other programs to make up for this shortfall.

By "The product team" do you mean Barry in finance cos its taking forever. You MUST have a timeline, do you not use your own product to plan things? - 😊

Maybe we have a different understanding of a roadmap. I thought that there is not much difference between a roadmap and a timeline?

Adding to the stream of comments that are over 2 (!!) years old now; this lack of functionality really creates a direct amount of pushback on our internal PMO when selling new team members/departments on the Wrike system over personally managed Trello. This seems like a really basic feature to roll into updates

Hey guys, I found a workaround that I found to be the fastest way of making your sub-tasks visible separately in the "Board" view in Wrike (it's about turning the ghost tags into regular tags faster). I create a master folder with subtasks; then I expand the sub-tasks that are in the folder in the "List" mode; I select all the sub-tasks that are in the master folder (Shift+select; or Ctrl+select) - a list of options appears for the selected sub-tasks; I choose the option "Move to" and find the same master folder I am working from and move them there. Now all the sub-tasks appear on the Board view separately from the master folder (keep in mind the master folder also appears in the list of those tasks, but I just keep it last on the list, so it does not bother me too much). I hope this is somehow helpful. :)

The absence of subtask integration in board view complicates project monitoring a lot.

Should be regarded as key feature.

Sub-tasks are independant pieces of work, that can follows different state of progression.

Hopefully, the improvements will not simply be a "display list" but will as well offer an option to "split" all tasks and subtasks as independant cards that we can move accross the board.

if not the risk is to have all Parent tasks in a "In progress states", so monitoring the advancement of the 6 to 10 subtasks which some might be "open", some other "in progress", some "completed" would be impossible and we are loosing the value of a kanban board.

Kanban boards are useless for us if we can't move tasks between them. Please implement. 

I think this is definitely a feature that ought to be added. It seems very similar to some of the other features Wrike offers, such as to show or not show sub-tasks in other areas.

With that said... as a workaround, you can update the sub-tasks so that they are assigned to the relevant Space/Project/Sub-project where you're expecting to see them on the board. You can also do this in bulk from a list view, with Mass edit > Select all, then on the right side click "Add to" and the appropriate area.

@... thanks for that info! The Wrike Labs Release notes looks like it should be a good fit, but the Wrike Labs page currently only has the updated views for Table and Calendar as far as I can tell. Do you know when we can expect to see the updated Board view as well?

Hi Travis Waelbroeck, for some accounts the New Board View was enabled before therefore you don't see it on your labs, could you please check if your Board View looks the same as below? If not, I can raise a support ticket to further investigate 🙋🏻‍♀️

I just checked. I also don't have that new view for the board. 

I enabled the new and improved views, but I think it only adds new table and calendar views.

Please, advise how I can get also the new board view.

I've been waiting on this new Board view and it misses the point most if not all of us are asking for: the Board view is still confining the child/sub-tasks by the parent's task status. We want the child task to break away and appear on its own in the Board's main task status.
