Creating a shared 'Leave' Calendar

I recently had a conversation with my client about when they were going on Holiday etc, and historically we've had people send meeting invites to inform others of their leave which gets a bit messy in your main calendar.

Also, we're on different base platforms, so what might work with Google, might not work with Microsoft, internal proprietary systems etc etc.

I decided to create a shared Calendar in Wrike, linked to an existing request form we were using to accept briefs from the client. They simply provide their name and their leave dates, and this creates a task which populates a Wrike Calendar.

We now have a single view of when our internal teams, and our clients are going to be out of the office, which has already made meeting management, approvals and general collaboration much easier.

I'm sure there are probably smarter and more automated ways of working, and I'd love to hear how others have done this too!

This is a great way to be informed of PTO and leaves' dates, thanks a lot for sharing James Ball 🙌

We are currently working towards a similar action.

For us itd be important to have that also be marked within Outlook and ideally tracked with effort within Wrike (like half days off). Did you have any chance of implementing this into any uutside Calendar as well?
