Allocating effort to meetings with multiple attendees

Hi Wrike community,

I'm sure this has probably been asked before so please point me in the right direction if it has. How do you assign effort to a meeting with multiple attendees without it either splitting the time between attendees or adding up the time to be longer than the meeting actually is? For example a 1 hour meeting for 2 people - if you use basic effort mode will spilt it between the 2 attendees (30 mins each) but if you use flexible and assign 1 hour to each attendee it shows the effort for that task as 2 hours altogether.

Hi Amy,

I was wondering why you don't want the activity to be a 2 hours effort if it actually is?  In the example you gave; a 1 hour meeting with two people, the actual effort is 2 hours, not 1 hour.  There is a difference between the duration and the effort...  If we have a 1 hour meeting with 5 people, the effort for that task is 5 hours, not 1...  It will cost the company 5 hours for that meeting ;).

Maybe there is something I'm not understanding ...

Hi Eric thanks for your reply.  I discussed this with my colleague who originally brought this to up with me.  We hadn't thought about in this way and were purely just thinking of the actual time of the meeting and not the collective effort of everyone. I think we were confusing effort with actual time spent.  Seeing it from this point of view it now makes sense that the time adds up to the number of people within the meeting and this is how we will input it from now on.  Thanks!
