In our organization people often times submit requests that are very similar. The ability to duplicate request forms, edit and submit as a new task would be extremely helpful and a time saver. (Almost like a template)

An example I am running in to at the moment is a form that I built that takes business card requests for various departments and puts the requests in to a workflow.ย However, after building out the form, I now need to split them in to their own forms because the departments have decided on different processes that will require a different workflow and method of processing.ย I'm faced with having to build out three forms again from scratch rather than duplicating an existing form and deleting out the parts I don't need.
To add to that, it would be most awesome to also be able to duplicate a question in a request form.ย I've run in to several complicated drop downs that I have built that would be handy to duplicate in different parts of a request form.ย That said, my current workaround is to create a custom field and then use that.
I thought I would include both examples - duplicating is a helpful feature!ย I love that I can now duplicate/replicate workflows -- very handy!
Hi Wrike dev team. I am 100% with Renee Mitchellย here โ A "Duplicate Request Form" function is 100% necessary (and would be simple to deploy).
The use case is straight forward: We have created a Request Form for our clients to use to submit a Project Brief (for a specific type of project). That Request Form took quite a lot of work to create because it has:
We now want to create a slightly different version of the Request Form for a different type of Project and therefore the "Actions upon submission" are different (e.g. different Project (Blueprint) to duplicate, different Assignee etc.)
It's crazily inefficient to have to create every Request From from scratch when a Duplicate Request Form function would allow us to quickly create a new version that we just tweak.
I look forward to seeing this simple but valuable feature released.
Can you please let us know if this is under consideration or perhaps scheduled for an upcoming release?

MC Carter - I'm not sure when this feature was added, but it's already possible to duplicate an existing request form.
Just go to your list of existing forms under Account Management, right click on the form you want to duplicate, and choose Duplicate.
That's awesome newsย Laura Boylan! That's somewhat of a hidden feature though โ I didn't even know there was a right-click menu on this screen. It would be more intuitive and discoverable for users if a 'duplicate' icon appears upon mouseover on each row/request form. Glad the feature is there though. A great time saver for us! โ fyi Renee Mitchellย did you know the right-click menu (and this feature!) was there?
Although you can duplicate forms, its a bit of a mess to re-map everything to ensure the newly populated form ends up in the correct place.
Currently you need to re-point every single question which has a action assigned to it. This doesnt work well with blueprints.ย
ie create a project from a blue print and attempt to re-align the associated form for this blueprint to the newly created project. Any ideas?ย

When I try to duplicate request forms they are unable to save. Is this been a common issue. Every time I forget it will not save my duplicate request form I end having to start over with a new one.
