Immediate editing of task after creating a new one
I find it super annoying that after I enter a new task, I have to click on the task I just created to begin editing it. I can see reasons why I wouldn't always want to immediately go into task editing mode after creating one, like if I'm mass creating general tasks prior to editing details. But my proposal is for something like "shift+enter" after entering the title of the task to directly edit it. Admittedly, it would only save a single mouse click as I already have to move my hand to the mouse anyways, but it would still be nice.
I agree. This would be a nice feature to add.
Hi Ryan and Dena! I've experienced the same thing and definitely appreciate this post. New tasks do open in an overlay when you create them from My Work, but not everyone starts their work there. For other views using a keyboard shortcut is a really interesting solution because you're right, there are cases where the current behavior is preferable. We'll send other users here as we here similar requests.

We would like that too. Often it even happens that we have clicked on another task and by hurrying, then change / insert something in it that was actually intended for the new task. Or we forget to press enter due to distraction or haste and switch directly to another window, so the task is not even created.
