Ability to make a task a subtask
There is an option to detach subtasks from the parent task to create a separate task. Can we have the option to do the opposite—to add an existing task as a subtask of another task ('attach' a task).
My company uses Gmail and we have an add-in to create a task from an email. Once created we can then move the task into a project or folder. But often I want to make the task a subtask of an existing task. This currently can't be done.
It is possible...
1. Create a task 1
2. Create a task 2
3. Add 2-3 subtasks in task 2
4. Now open task 2 (so you can see 2-3 subtasks in the right hand side panel)
5. Leave task 2 open, drag and drop task 1 (from the middle window) to right hand side (where you can see subtasks of task 2).
6. Drop it on the "Subtask button" underneath "add assignee" or next to Date/time field.
DONE!!!
Hope this helps

Thanks for the workaround Jarnail. That will do what I want.
I'd still like it to be a more explicit option, though.
Ah! I am glad it worked for you and you found it useful.
Also, can you please consider my feedback: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115002370205-Custom-field-show-hide-settings
Please give your thoughts.
Having a "move" or "move task" option would help.
Hi all, sorry for only jumping in here now.
I hope I understand what exactly you're looking to here but converting a task to a sub-task is possible and vice-versa. To add to Jarnail's options here see below examples.
@Ria, in terms of moving a task, this is available in mass editing option too.
That's helpful. I think the mass editing option is a good option to have, but isn't it just as easy to add the "move" option to the drop-down list on a right click of the task? That would be even easier. You already have actions such as "detach" or "delete" in that same drop down.
@Ria Completely makes sense! I think the team is trying to keep the dropdown from getting too long. We'll tell them about your preference though, knowing what options you would like to see is really helpful for the team.
