[New To Wrike] And the Project Progress Goes To... Your Workspace! 👑
Hi all,
We're very excited to announce that it's now possible to see project's progress based on its tasks. Did we mention it’s all thanks to your feedback? 👋
You can now enable Project Progress in Labs.
Please note: Only Account Admins can enable Project Health for the account.
Project Progress is available:
- In the Project info panel
- On the Project Dashboard widget
- On the timeline portion of the Gantt Chart
Now you can see project health at a glance using three metrics provided by Wrike:
- Progress by number of completed tasks
- Progress based on the duration of completed tasks
- Total progress
You can find more detail on our Help Center.
Note: this is an experimental function so it's really important to share what you like, and what you don't. You can provide feedback either on the Labs page (you'll see the feedback link under the feature listed) or you can post below. Any questions about this feature, comment below 🙂

Hi Lisa!
i didn't see this before i posted on the weekly release post. Please check out my "issue" here.
Looking into this Marj - I'm still getting to grips with the backend logic and examples for this feature myself. I'll pop over to the releases post once I'm fully clear on what's happening with your use case 🤓
@Stephen, Thank you! 👍
Got back to you there now Marj, thanks for your bearing with me 🙃
Good Morning,
Is it possible to have the Progress also at the task level? Often my Projects are broken down into Phases so it would be nice to see what percent the Phase is at within the Project, as well as the entire Project Progress.
Hey Katie, right now this release is for Project Progress based on the completion of tasks within. However, the team has been thinking about Task progress. What would you like this % to be based on? Perhaps the completion date?
Great to see this released. Though I can't see a method for adding this info to reports. Some higher level staff are reliant on accessing project progress through reports sent to their email inboxes.
I'd love to see the same functionality on task level as well. Based on these metrics:
@Darren & @Evelien, thank you for providing your feedback here, it's extremely valuable to our Product team 🙂

I've manually entered the information from the health check in custom columns. Its a shame ill have to manual update each project once a week. Here is a pic of the kind of info I'm after in a report.
Is there a way to add the project progress to a report?
@Julie Hey! Currently Project Progress is only available on

We would like to use the % complete field to compute overall project status and project revenue. I know that this is available at the Project Level, but is there a way to have the % complete for sub tasks roll up to tasks and then the project itself?
This would help as we give each task a milestone $ amount and a % weighting (which is the proportion that this task's $ amount is to the Total Project $), so if we could then (perhaps using a report) to compute % complete for each task (a roll up of the sub tasks) X % weighting, we would have an idea of our revenue projection at that time.
I have a feeling I may need to export to excel but if I can do it in Wrike as a recurring report, that would be great!
Thanks!
Is there a chance that the project progress would be seen on a table view? This feature is amazing!
Hey, good to hear from you, Jagoda.
The team is thinking about adding this to various areas of the Workspace. No ETA right now but I'll keep you updated as I have more concrete details.
@Jeffrey, yes, love this idea!!! The function isn't there right now to give this level of detail. It's rather an indicator than a metric but we see this evolve in the future into what you're describing.
Right now, you can export to excel and then add these fields in manually to give you this type of revenue projection and I'll definitely pass this on to the product team. Thank you 👍
Love this feature. 100% agree that I would like to see it as a reportable field! We manage anywhere between 150 to 350 projects concurrently so having the ability to sort and filter those ones that are "at risk" or in their early stages is HUGE.
Why on earth is this feature not in REPORTS??? 🤦
Hey @Alex, our Product team is actually working on this now 🙂 It's expected to be launched later this year.

Hi @Lisa, any update on when exactly the progress functionality will be enabled in reports?
Hi Jasmijn van den Beukel, sorry for the long reply here! This is planned for release soon, but I can't share a date yet. I will announce it on the Community as soon as I can 👍

Hi Wrike Team!
Can we get the current % Complete indicator to tell you how your project is performing against plan? I'm sure the backend data can provide what's needed to calculate schedule performance index (SPI).
SPI can be easily calculated from a modified version of the % Complete (example: 12% / 20%). 12% Earned Value / 20% Planned Value = SPI of 0.6
Now you know that your project is not only 12% complete, but that your project is running 40% behind schedule!
This is a key metric for Project Management. Wrike provides a nice article about using Earned Value . . . but are there any EVM tools available? https://www.wrike.com/project-management-guide/faq/how-to-calculate-earned-value-in-project-management/
Help a project manager out! Thanks.
Hi Casey Keough!
Although it is possible to see which tasks are overdue and how many tasks have been completed, it's currently not possible to have your Project Progress reflect how your project is performing against plan. I really like the idea though!
I'd recommend making a post suggesting this as a possible feature in the Product Feedback forum! Once the post reaches 60 upvotes, our Product team will be able to give you an update on the status of the suggestion.
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know 😊
Hi Lisa and @..., I think I replied on a similar topic, but not being able to see progress in reports is a huge disadvantage when we manage hundreds of projects. Looking forward to when I can have a status check-in with a single report being exported.
I know you mentioned letting us know when it is ready, but can we get a rough estimate? I would like to have an idea of how much longer we will need to gather this data manually for our quarterly reports.
Thanks!
Lindsey
Hi Lindsey Walters 🙂 Project progress should appear in Reports in the coming weeks 🎈 There's no exact date yet, but it's happening really soon!

Are you planning and, if so, when will task level % complete be added. This is absolutely essential to management of tasks. Thanks.
Hi Larry Davidson, welcome to the Community!
There is a Product Feedback thread about this suggestion here, I'd recommend adding your vote to it and commenting some feedback for our Product team. Currently, the feature is not on the short-term roadmap but as soon as I have any updates for you on the status, I'll let you know.
Is there a way to see the historical value for the progress metric?
This would be very useful to me as I am going back and pulling metrics to compare progress on projects on a month over month basis and use progress to project out financials.
For instance, like a baseline from a Snapshot I'd like to be able to go back to a date in the past and see what the progress was at that point and compare.
Is this currently in the pipeline?
thanks!
Thank you for reaching out, Jeffrey Veffer! This isn't currently possible, so could you please create a separate Product Feedback thread?
