Dashboard by the status of the task only

I've set up Tasks and subtasks. When I look at the Board view of a folder, it shows me the Task only. Is there a way to set up a Dashboard the same way? I'm trying to set up a Dashboard right now, but if I have a Task with a status of 'In Progress' and 1 out of 3 subtasks with a status of 'In Progress' and the 2 others are 'In Queue'... I see the Task in the 'In Progress' lane and the 2 other subtasks in the 'In Queue' lane. I want them all to stay together though and be based on the status of the Task, not the subtask. Is this possible to replicate on the Dashboard?
