Ability to pin up to 3 notes

An idea... currently the 'notes' pane has the options "snooze", "archive" and "star." 

The "Star" option comes closest to what I'd like, but after several notes in a day, it gets buried, and I have to scroll in search of the note. 

What would be nice is an ability to 'pin' (and unpin) a message to the top, similar to pinned messages we often see in forums. Up to 3 is probably enough - otherwise, other messages would be obscured in the message pane - unless there's a little design magic to make pinned notes take up less space.

This pin feature would help to keep those notes intop-of-mind when I need to get to them, but can't now.
