Add a "Client" field that cascades down to tasks
Can you add a Client name field to folders, which cascades down to their associated tasks (and more importantly, the time entry field)?
I know there's already a similar request out there for a "Client Name" but feel like the threads within it have gotten off point with alternative solutions. In this case, I'm not sure there are alternative solutions available and I'll explain why below:

We have multiple clients that have multiple ongoing projects. Grouping by parent folder isn't working because of that.
Currently, we use custom fields, but find that is causing too much content entry for all the projects we have. And, in reading other posts, it sounds like Wrike had this feature already but abandoned it b/c it was getting too CRMy. We're not looking for Wrike to be a CRM (not even close), however, we do view this as more of a time entry issue.

Finding some way to group by this within our timelog, reports and/or tables would be a HUGE time save for us.
Thank you!
I would also like to be able to group time reports by Client across multiple projects. We assign projects to client folders and to type folders (Large Projects, Updates, and specific services that require more attention.
I can make a report by a client this way, but I can't group all timelogs by a client. There are just a lot of places where it would be really handy to be able to organize by client.
We also are seeking this functionality!
This would be a HUGE time saver and allow us to get the reporting we really need out of Wrike. We have thousands of clients with multiple projects in flight and continue to struggle with having a client-centric view of our active projects and tasks. This a a major impediment for being able to adopt Wrike more broadly across our organization, due to the large amount of manual data entry and manipulation required to enable client-level reporting.

If you're still looking for a way to group reports by client, and you have access to Wrike Integrate and Wrike custom fields, it's possible to automatically copy the value from a project-level custom field (i.e., Client) to all new tasks created within that project.
I posted an example community recipe at https://www.workato.com/recipes/1102960, with a fuller explanation in the Best Practices section at https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360039414333.
With this approach, you can then group your reports by the Client custom field, to end up with something like this:
Hey everyone, thank you for all of your input and feedback! It's been passed on to our Product team.
